Established in September 1952, where Nikon camera’s popularity was spreading widely around the world, NIKKOR Club was created for the purpose of promoting mutual friendship and international exchange of courtesies among users who favor Nikon cameras or lenses. One of main member was Masao Nagaoka, President of Nippon Kogaku K. K. (now Nikon Corporation). Other members include Ihei Kimura, Ken Domon, Jun Miki, Yusaku Kamekura, Kenji Mizoguchi, Hideko Takamine, David Douglas Duncan, Margaret Bourke-white.

Born in 1958, Tokushima. In 1985, his photographic collection “Rakuen (Paradise)” won the Kimura Ihei Prize. Since then, Miyoshi travelled to Tahiti, Maldives and Hawaii searching and photographing paradises all around the world. Other than tropical paradises, he also visited and photographed paradises in Sahara, Himalayas and Tibet. Many of his works were published as photo books. Now he spends his time photographing in Japan such as the Ise Grand Shrine, Miyakojima and Buddha statues.
His recent works includes Kyoto Imperial Palace published by Asahi Shimbun. His other works on “World Heritage in Japan” organized by the Japan Foundation is currently on an exhibit tour around the world.
