There are no other brand than Hermes that is able to develop products with such high quality leathers and colors in boutiques extended in major cities worldwide such as Paris, New York, Tokyo・Ginza.
Ever since the time of introduction, the design of bags symbolic of the brand such as the Birkin and Kelly has never changed, while the color and leather variation has extended with every collection introduced. Hermes is a world renowned luxury brand at the highest peak where the classical and contemporary co-exists.
Out of the best leathers carefully selected and obtained by Hermes from all over the world, leathers actually utilized in product development are of a very few of the highest quality. There is a wide variety of colors making it difficult to choose where there is a slight differentiation in color formulations due to the material used.

Beautiful yet delicate glossy material that is natural with fine and firm texture.
▽Vache leather
Since the surface of this tanned leather is not processed this male cowhide is very delicate. This leather is known for its maturing color with use and time.
Developed in Natural and Black only.
▽Vache Hunter leather
A heifer leather with moderate softness and smooth texture. It is characterized by a beautifully delicate matte finish and smoothness.
Mainly used in small accessories and casual bags.
▽Derma leather
Introduced in 2004, this male calf leather is known for its thinness as well as its soft and smooth texture.
Developed in caravan only.
▽Ardennes leather
Leather of male calf from the Adrenne region spreading from Northern France to Southern Belgium. It is known for its pressed processing. Since this leather is discontinued, the Vache Liegee is its successor.
▽Gulliver leather
One of the leathers originally called the Mu. Male calf leather known for its softness and smooth texture. Since this leather is discontinued, the Veau Swift is its successor.
▽Graine leather
Processed male calf leather known for its thin press and matte texture. Since this leather is discontinued, the Veau Epsom is its successor.
Developed only in White and Natural.
▽Graine Couchevel leather
Male calf leather that have been glass processed and press processed and is known for its thin press with luster. Since this leather is discontinued, the Veau Epsom is its successor.
▽Graine Lisse leather
Male calf leather that has been glass processed and press processed and is known for its thin press luster. It was developed to become the successor of the Couchevel and Veau Graine. Since this leather is discontinued, the Veau Epsom is its successor.
▽Vibrato
Very delicate and sensitive leather utilizing the vertical pattern of dyed mountain goat skin folded in numerous layers and cut. It was developed in a wide color variation but is currently discontinued.
▽Buffalo leather
Leather of buffalo known for its fair softness and slightly rough grain size. Due to its splendid water resistance, it is also widely utilized in casual bags such as the Garden Party line.
▽Buffalo gala leather
Leather of water buffalo known for its fair softness and comparatively intricate grain size. Due to this leather’s characteristics, it is only developed in smaller items and accessories only.

▽Buffalo Pondichery leather
Introduced in 2009. Leather created from water buffalo originating from the region along the East Coast of Southern India. It is known for its fair softness and comparatively intricate grain size. Due to this leather’s characteristics, it is only developed in smaller items and accessories only.

▽Dalmatien
This unique leather is dyed twice to create the Dalmatian print, reminding its observers of Disney’s "101 Dalmatian1". It was developed in a wide color variation but is currently discontinued.
▽Toile GM
A cotton canvas material which is woven more roughly than the Toile H. It was named the GM (Grand Modele) due to the canvas’ rough texture. Since it is woven, this material is known for its durability and strength against friction. Each texture is expressed by two different thread colors.
▽Toile H Berline
Toile H Berline is a special material that has the look and feel of leather. At the same time, it is with the lightness of canvas.
▽Toile So H
Canvas material of cotton and wool created by weaving 2 different colors of thread and is known for its design of the H logo woven throughout. The line handle twill is created by the knurling flowing from the top right to the bottom left and this material is very light with splendid durability.
Developed in the Garden Party line only.
▽Toile Jean
A cotton canvas material created by knurling together an indigo colored thread vertically and a thread that has not been dyed horizontally. It is also called a denim material. Due to right hand twill where the thread is knurled from the top right to the bottom left, it is known to be very extremely durable.
▽Toile Chevrons
A cotton canvas material created by knurling together a thread that has been dyed in a certain color vertically and a thread that has not been dyed horizontally. By repeating the V shape called the Herring Bone, the beauty of the knurling line is heightened. This material is known for its flexibility
▽Twill H
The weave is expressed with two different colored threads, making it durable and hide the stain very well.The usage of canvas is easy to unwind and fringable among cotton toile.
▽Feutre
A wool material with superb cushioning and heat retention properties. It is known for its soft touch and warmth.
▽Lainage
This material made its appearance in the 2006 Fall Winter Paris Collection exclusively. A wool material which made an impression with its plaid print also called the Karo. It is known for its lightness and durability and is currently discontinued.
▽Crinolin
A material with luster created by weaving together hemp and hair of a horse’s tail. It is known for its lightness and durability and is currently discontinued.
